PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new gene system for the production of desulfato-hirudin.

SOLUTION: A yeast expression vector comprises a yeast CUP 1 promoter connecting in the workable state to a first DNA sequence encoding a signal peptide of yeast connecting to a second DNA sequence encoding the desulfato-hirudin in a correct reading flame, and a desulfato-hirudin expression cassette consisting of a DNA sequence including a transcriptional termination signal of the yeast.
