<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for treating an exhaust gas containing CO in a low concentration and capable of stably removing CO from the exhaust gas containing CO in a low concentration at a high efficiency for a long term, an exhaust gas treatment method using the catalyst for treating an exhaust gas, and a catalyst for removing CO in a low concentration with a suppressed catalyst material cost. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas treatment catalyst is a catalyst for treating an exhaust gas containing CO in a low concentration and comprises a titanium-based oxide as a carrier and a catalyst component A of at least one noble metal element and a phosphorus compound carried thereon at a ratio of 0.05-10 wt.% on the basis of phosphorus atom in the entire weight of the catalyst. The exhaust gas treatment method is a method for treating an exhaust gas containing CO in a low concentration and includes a process (a) of bringing an exhaust gas containing CO in a low concentration of 100 ppm or lower into contact with the exhaust gas treatment catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
