摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To learn correspondence between a rotational position of a rotor and an energized phase after power-on, in a brushless type motor such as a switched reluctance motor. <P>SOLUTION: At the initial driving stage after power-on, for example, when switching by the prescribed time schedule the energized phases of the motor in the sequence of W-phase energization, UW-phase energization, U-phase energization, UV-phase energization and VW-phase energization so as to count the output signal of an encoder, the device learns the encoder count value and the correspondence between the rotational position of the rotor and energized phase at the completion of the initial driving stage. At the subsequent regular driving stage, the energized phase is decided based on the encoder count value and the result of learning at the completion of the initial driving stage. At the initial driving stage, the time T1 of the first phase energization is made shorter than the time T2 of the second phase energization, for instance, T1 is set at 10ms and T2 at 100ms. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
