PURPOSE: An automatic returning device of a reclining seat is provided to automatically return a backrest of which the angle is pre-regulated at user's desire by electronic-control or mechanical operations by operations of a backrest locking tool through a load sensing for the reclining seat and accordingly to remove inconveniences for manually returning the reclining seat after passengers get off a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A reclining seat is composed of a backrest(3) of which a lower end is supported to a hinge(2) protruded upward from the rear of a seat(1); a shock absorber(4) of which the length of a rod is changed by elastic rebound force, mounted between a lower free end of the backrest and a bottom front side of the seat; a locking tool(5) installed to the front end of the shock absorber to decide the variable length of the rod; a locking tool operating button(7) disposed to the lower of an armrest unit(6) installed to the side of the seat; and a locking tool operating cable(8) installed between the locking tool operating button and the locking tool. An automatic returning device of the reclining seat comprises a load sensing device(9) installed to the seat to detect if passengers sit on the seat and a device(10) for forcibly operating the locking tool installed between the load sensing device and the locking tool.
