PURPOSE: A constant velocity traveling system with a slip region warning function and a control method thereof are provided to perform a safe constant velocity traveling by quickly and accurately sensing a partially frozen region and a water screen spot on the road with sensors and to inform a driver of a slip region on the road at the proper time in the constant velocity traveling with an alarm device by the decision of a slip sensing electronic control unit. CONSTITUTION: A constant velocity traveling system with a slip region warning function is composed of a speed sensor(60). wheel speed sensors(20,30,40,50), a comparing unit(110), an ECU(Electronic Control Unit,70) for sensing a slip, and an alarm device(80). The speed sensor is connected with an instrument panel(90) to sense information for traveling speed of a vehicle detected by a vehicle speed sensor of a constant velocity traveling device(10) again. The wheel speed sensor senses rotational speed of each wheel. The comparing unit collects rotational speed of each wheel detected by the wheel speed sensor and information for actual speed of the vehicle detected by the speed sensor and compares speed difference of rotational speed of each wheel and actual speed of the vehicle. The ECU for sensing a slip compares information for a pre-memorized reference speed with the speed difference of the wheel speed and speed sensors computed by the comparing unit, releases a constant velocity traveling and controls speed. The alarm device delivers audio and letter warning messages to a driver to a control state of the ECU for sensing a slip.
