PURPOSE: A system for driving an LED dot matrix and controlling brightness thereof is provided to reduce manufacturing costs and brightness deviation by improving a structure of a driving circuit for driving the LED dot matrix. CONSTITUTION: A system for driving an LED dot matrix and controlling brightness thereof includes a plurality of data latches(40-43) for latching data to each matrix(30,31) and a plurality of shift registers(45-48) for shifting a driving control signal to the data latches(40-43). The system for driving the LED dot matrix and controlling brightness further includes a selector and a plurality of brightness controllers(33-36). The selector is connected to the shift registers(45-48) in order to control a driving state of the matrixes(30,31). The brightness controllers(33-36) are connected to the matrixes(30,31) in order to control the brightness.
