<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector capable of keeping an inserted card at a prescribed position, and reducing damage induced when forcibly pulling out the card. <P>SOLUTION: The card connector comprises an insulation housing 3 to which a plurality of terminals 2 are mounted and a cover member 4. A card receiving cavity 5 receiving the card 1 connected with a plurality of terminals is covered by the cover member 4. A locking piece 44 engaging with the card 1 inserted into the card receiving cavity 5, preventing the card 1 from moving in the pull-out direction, is formed at the cover member 44, and a card eject mechanism for pulling out the card 1 is formed at the card receiving cavity 5. A pin member 8 of the card eject mechanism releases the engagement of the card 1 and the locking piece 44, when the card eject mechanism is operated so as to pull out the card 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
