NEW INTERCALATOR AS ELECTROCHEMICAL DOUBLE-STRANDED DNA DETECTION REAGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new intercalator for controlling the influence of mismatch DNA and single-stranded DNA as much as possible and for raising the detection sensitivity of double-stranded DNA.

SOLUTION: Since an intercalating part represented by formula and formula (I) is a bis structure, the compound forms a stable complex when intercalated with double-stranded DNA. When the compound is combined with double-stranded DNA, two oxidation-reduction activity parts are made into a form in parallel in a DNA base pair and an electron transfer (electron hopping, namely oxidation-reduction reaction) transmitted between the base pair is efficiently carried out.
