<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary material for incineration of waste and a method of producing the same by which incineration of plastic articles is carried out at a low temperature, with a small amount of incineration residues and with easy handling, and with hardly generating of dioxins in an exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary material for incineration is made to form a layer containing titanium oxide on the surface of a substrate by exposing the substrate of the auxiliary material or its originating material to a reactive gas of a plasma state generated by discharging across opposing electrodes under the atmospheric pressure or in the vicinity of the atmospheric pressure, in the auxiliary material for incineration along with waste when the waste is incinerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
