<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a highly versatile natural language pattern using a device and method for registering natural language patterns into a pattern dictionary for use in natural language processing. <P>SOLUTION: For the pattern names of natural language patterns and grammatical attributes used in versatile expressions, the function of sampling and newly registering input unregistered grammatical attributes is provided. For origins by which the grammatical attributes are subdivided, an origin registration management function is provided which, if unregistered origin names defining origins and/or unregistered origin values serving as the contents of the origins are input, samples and newly registers this input information to manage it. A pattern registering function is also provided for sampling unregistered natural language patterns, including natural language patterns containing registered grammatical attributes and natural language patterns containing regulations about the registered origins, to newly register the patterns into the pattern dictionary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
