PURPOSE: A mold for forming a sole or a foaming sole is provided to form the sole of a shoe in a state of removing air in a mold to reduce defectiveness caused by the air in the mold. CONSTITUTION: A mold for forming a sole or a foaming sole is composed of an upper mold(11) including an outlet(13) for discharging air in the mold and a lower mold(21) including a molding space(22) for the sole. A variable packing(12) protrudes from the lower surface of the upper mold with being integrally formed with the upper mold. A groove(23) is formed outward than the molding space at the lower mold to receive the variable packing. The groove includes a slope to increase the dimension contacting with the variable packing.
