PURPOSE: An apparatus for rotating a large-sized structure in air for welding is provided to improve productivity and weldability by rapidly rotating the large-sized structure in air while a welding process is being carried out. CONSTITUTION: A large-sized structure rotating apparatus includes a pair of stands(30,40) for supporting a large-sized structure(20) at both sides of the large-sized structure(20). The stands(30,40) are horizontally connected to the large-sized structure(20) through a driving shaft(50) and a driven shaft(60). A middle shaft(70) is provided to rotate or fix a second gear(110). A universal bearing block(80) is provided to prevent the large-sized structure(20) from being abnormally worn. A driving device(90) rotates the large-sized structure(20) and first and second gears(100,110) transfers rotating force of the driving device(90) to the large-sized structure(20). A cover(130) is provided to protect a rotating section.
