PURPOSE: A soundproofing material for a vehicle and manufacturing method thereof is provided to improve sound-absorbing and soundproofing power by inserting a synthetic resin film layer between pet fiber layers. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a soundproofing material(10) comprises the steps of: inserting a synthetic resin film layer(12) between pet fiber layers(11) having a thickness of 400mm; passing the pet fiber layers into which the synthetic resin film layer is inserted through a preheating chamber; and compressing the pet fiber layers so that the thickness of the pet fiber layers is 20mm.
