APPARATUS FOR CLEANING SENSOR OF INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: A sensor cleaning apparatus for an ink jet printer is provided to prevent a printing error when printing work is carried out by cleaning inks dispersed on a surface of a sensing section. CONSTITUTION: A sensor cleaning apparatus(60) includes a sensor wiper(61) and a wiper driving section(62). The sensor wiper(61) is installed on the wiper driving section(62) in such a manner that the sensor wiper(61) makes contact with a sensing section of a self-alignment/paper width detecting sensor(30). An ink cartridge(20) is assembled with a carrier assembly(10) so as to spray ink. The wiper driving section(62) is positioned at one side of a wiper assembly(50) of a maintenance assembly(40) so as to automatically move the sensor wiper(61) in forward and rearward directions with respect to the sensing section of the self-alignment/paper width detecting sensor(30). The maintenance assembly(40) cleans a nozzle section of the ink cartridge(20).
