<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of regenerating a denitration catalyst to easily remove an arsenic compound accumulating on the surface or in the pores of the catalyst in a comparable number of processes to the conventional washing process. <P>SOLUTION: When a denitration catalyst is to be regenerated, the used denitration catalyst containing an arsenic compound and containing titanium oxide and vanadium oxide as the catalyst component is immersed in an aqueous solution containing quaternary ammonium hydroxide.
