PURPOSE: A method of increasing hop unit priorities for improving end-to-end performance in OBS(Optical Burst Switching) networks under multi-hop environment is provided to delay a data burst by using an optical delay line on an input end of each exchange, and to increase offset time between a control packet and the data burst, thereby increasing priorities when the control packet reserves resources for the data burst. CONSTITUTION: If a control packet is received through a control channel(S41), a switch controller confirms an offset field of the control packet and determines arrival time and channel occupancy time of a data burst(S42). The switch controller checks whether a data channel transmitted to an output link exists, based on the determined channel occupancy time of the data burst(S43). If so, the switch controller reserves the corresponding channel and sets a switching element(S44). The switch controller sets offset time to be changed by an exchange in an offset field(S45), and transmits the offset time through a control channel of the output link(S46). If usable data channel does not exist, the switch controller abandons the control packet(S47). |
