The label holder (1) has a passage (3) and a space (10,11) intended to receive a label. A link (2) intended to grip a part of the object to be labeled is in the shape of a band (20) which is introduced by its free end (25) into the passage. The band has longitudinal teeth (22) which engage the passage and ensure irreversible locking of the band and the label holder after forming a loop around the object. The band end (23) comprises a stop (24) which locks the band in the passage inlet (30).
