<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly regenerate almost all parts of NO<SB>X</SB>occlusion agents and suppress the deterioration of the NO<SB>X</SB>occlusion agents at the time of the regeneration. <P>SOLUTION: A first NO<SB>X</SB>occlusion agent of sulfur releasing at a high temperature is carried on the center part 1 of a waste gas passage where the waste gas passes at a high speed, and a second NO<SB>X</SB>occlusion agent of sulfur releasing at a low temperature is carried on the surrounding part 2. Since the center part 1 where the waste gas passes at a high speed becomes a high temperature, the first NO<SB>X</SB>occlusion agent poisoned with sulfur is easily heated to a sulfur releasing temperature to be regenerated even if the sulfur releasing temperature is high. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
