<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give comfortable operation feeling to a user by shortening the time until the moving chassis is unloaded to a position where a cassette and a disk are loaded for photographing and reproducing and the time until the moving chassis is loaded after photographing and reproducing are finished and the cassette and the disk are removed. <P>SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing device has a fixed chassis 2, a moving chassis 1 which houses a recording and reproducing medium 4 and which can move with respect to the fixed chassis 2 between a first position where recording and reproducing can be performed on the recording and reproducing medium 4 and a second position where the recording and reproducing medium can be loaded or unloaded, a discriminating means 8 discriminating presence/no presence of the recording and reproducing medium 4, and an adjusting means adjusting moving speed of the moving chassis 1 on the basis of discrimination by the discriminating means 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
