<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of eliminating the necessity of complicated connection for an operation test, reducing a test time, and simplifying a device configuration. <P>SOLUTION: An output signal of an oscillator 21 used for generating a reference signal inputted into a PLL circuit 20 connected to a local oscillator 13 is divided by a frequency divider 24, thereby generating a test signal included in the receiving band of an AM broadcast. This test signal is inputted into a high-frequency amplifier circuit 11 via a switch 25, and an intermediate frequency signal for the test signal is inputted into a level detection unit 30.
