<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device which can switch between increasing a processing speed and restraining consumption of electric power in accordance with a situation. <P>SOLUTION: In a digital camera 1, a microprocessor 24 is connected to a ROM 25 and so on through a data bus 31 and a power-saving mode and a normal mode are provided as a mode relating to the consumption of electric power. A data bus control circuit 36 which switches the bus width of the data bus 31 and a mode selection button 11 for selecting a mode are provided. When the power-saving mode is selected by the mode selection button 11, the data bus control circuit 36 makes the bus width of the data bus 31 narrower than that when the normal mode is selected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
