<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an electrode fully supplying negative ions and generating negative ions from outer force at the same time; and to prevent the electrode from being wet even when a water drop falls from upward. <P>SOLUTION: This humidifier comprises inside a body 1 a blower 2 taking in indoor air from a suction port 6 and blowing out to a blowout port 7, a water tank part 11 supplying water to a vaporizing filter 10, and a water supply tank 12 supplying water of the water tank part 11. The vaporizing filter 10 having water suction property, the electrode 16 generating negative ions, and an electrode case 13 containing the electrode 16 are provided inside a wind passage 9 from the blower 2 to the blowout port 7. The electrode case 13 has openings 13e, 13c, 13d on the lower surface and the front surface facing tip of the electrode 16. Upper parts of the openings 13c, 13d on the front surface have eaves-like shapes projecting frontward from the openings 13c, 13d.
