DEODORIZATION MOLDING, AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally-safe deodorization molding for highly efficiently removing an odor component, and to provide a production method therefor.

SOLUTION: The deodorization molding 1 carries cuprous oxide and copper trihydroxyde nitrate on a porous carrier 15. The molding 1 is produced by the method including: a first impregnation process for impregnating at least not less than one kind of metal salt containing not less than one kind of metal selected from Cu, Ni and Fe onto the porous carrier 15; a thermal treatment process for heating the carrier 15 after the end of the first impregnation process at a temperature of 400°C to 600°C in an inert gas atmosphere; a second impregnation process for impregnating the carrier 15 after the end of the thermal treatment process with the above metal salt; and a drying process for drying the carrier 15 after the end of the second impregnating process.
