PURPOSE: A torque sensor of a steering system is provided to cut down the manufacturing costs by avoiding a precision machining of other parts by fixing a plate to a sensor housing to compensate only clearance for the plate with a circle lip and to prevent the leakage of a magnetic path in the axial direction with performing a magnetic shielding function by mounting a diamagnetic plate in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION: A torque sensor of a steering system is composed of input and output shafts(120,130) inserted and mounted to rotate in a sensor housing(110) and connected to each other; detecting rings(150) installed to the outside of the input and output shafts and between the input and output shafts, respectively; a pair of bobbins(160a,160b) separated to both axial sides of the outside of the detecting ring with mounting a spacer(162) between the bobbins; a sill unit formed at the housing to closely contact with one axial end of the bobbin; a diamagnetic plate(170) mounted to the other axial end of the bobbin with larger than the outer diameter of the bobbin to prevent the axial leakage of a magnetic path; a limiting sill(200) for limiting the plate from moving to the bobbin; a mounting groove(180) formed at the axial rear side of the plate; and a circle lip(190) of which the side of the outer periphery inserted into the mounting groove is inclined to elastically support the plate.
