<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant composition which is free from a danger of destructing the ozone layer and whose physical property values are close to that of chlorodifluoromethane(R22) and can suitably be used as a refrigerant for substituting R22. <P>SOLUTION: The refrigerant composition comprises (a)10-25 mass% difluoromethane(R32), (b)20-60 mass% pentafluoroethane(R125), (c)20-60 mass% 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane(R134a) and 2-5 mass% of (d)a mixture of one or more sorts selected from 3-5C hydrocarbons. A higher volume refrigerating capacity(Δh<SB>v</SB>) and a coefficient of performance(COP) favorably comparable with that of R22 are realizable by applying the refrigerant composition to refrigerators and air-conditioners designed for using R22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
