<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IR ray-sensitive composition having large difference in alkali solubility (solubility discrimination) between in an exposed part and in a non-exposed part, excellent development latitude, and high sensitivity, when used for the image forming layer or the like of a lithographic printing original plate. <P>SOLUTION: The IR ray-sensitive composition contains (A) an alkali-soluble resin having a phenolic hydroxyl group, (B) a photothermal converting substance, and (C) a compound which is decomposed by the effect of a base to generate a new basic molecule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
