PURPOSE: A method for changing an output character of a wireless terminal under external environmental conditions is provided to sense external environmental conditions, and to output the second character instead of the first character if the environmental conditions are changed, thereby changing characters outputted from a wireless terminal according to the environmental conditions. CONSTITUTION: A user sets which character is to be outputted among characters stored in a character storage unit according to external environmental conditions(201). A character output unit decides whether set contents are about changing characters only that are outputted according to changes of the external environmental conditions(202). If not, an external environmental condition sensor senses the external environmental conditions(203). The character output unit receives sensed results, retrieves a character relative to the environmental conditions, and outputs the retrieved character(204). The character output unit decides whether the environmental conditions exceed a preset reference value(205). If so, the character output unit retrieves another character, and outputs the retrieved character(206).
