The device is configured to treat signal (A, B, C) that represent an absoluter position (A), rotation speed (B), and exerted torque (C) of a pipe wheel (2), respectively. The device is configured to determine total torque force (C1, C2, C3) on the steering by taking count of the force exercised on the wheel, and the assistance force.
