<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a man-powered bicycle capable of smoothly and surely rotating and driving a front wheel. <P>SOLUTION: This man-powered bicycle is equipped with a handle post 9 rotatably provided on a front part of a vehicle body; the front wheel rotatably provided on a lower part of the handle post; a swinging shaft 21 rotatably provided on an upper part of the handle post; a handle 22 attached on the swinging shaft and capable of swinging to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body while rotating the swinging shaft to forward and backward directions; and first and second sprockets 25a and 25b, a one-way clutch 26, first chains 34a and 34b, and gears 36a and 36b for converting the reciprocating movement of swinging of the handle to the rotating movement to the same direction in order to rotate and drive the front wheel to the direction to which the vehicle body advances when the handle is swung. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
