A milk foaming jet for a coffee machine has a central steam pipe with an outlet jet at the bottom and surrounded by an outer duct with a second outlet jet at the bottom, spaced from the steam outlet. Milk is drawn into the space between the jets via openings in the outer duct, and with a fresh air opening near the top of the outer duct. For improved foaming radial ribs are fitted between the outer duct and the steam pipe, around the jets.
