START CLUTCH FOR IDLING STOP VEHICLE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start clutch for an idling stop vehicle capable of transmitting the torque with good response when a transition is made from the driving condition to the coasting condition.

SOLUTION: The start clutch for the idling stop vehicle is to engage and disengage the shifting mechanism part of an automatic transmission with/from an engine, and a solenoid pilot clutch is arranged so that it is in the engaged condition when the current is fed and is in the disengaged condition when the current is not fed, and a cam mechanism is formed from a drive cam surface to make conversion into an axial direction propelling force in the drive condition when the torque is fed from the engine and a coast cam surface to make conversion into an axial direction propelling force in the coasting condition when the torque fed from the shifting mechanism part, wherein the cam angle of the coast cam surface is set greater than the cam angle of the drive cam surface.
