<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous structural material having biodegradability and a very high durable hydrophilicity. <P>SOLUTION: This biodegradable fibrous structural material is characterized by imparting a nonionic surfactant having≥1,000 average molecular weight on an aliphatic polyester-based fiber consisting mainly of L-lactic acid and having≥150°C melting point, and then heat-treating at≥50°C so as to make the fibrous material hydrophilic. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
