LIQUID-CRYSTAL POLYMER AND LIQUID-CRYSTAL POLYMER COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a block liquid-crystal polymer which improves heat resistance while keeping the optical property (orientation) of a liquid-crystal polymer.

SOLUTION: The block liquid-crystal polymer is one composed of a unit of a liquid-crystal monomer (a) and a unit of a non-liquid crystal monomer (b). The non-liquid crystal monomer (b) contains a functional group-containing monomer (b1). The ratio of the block unit of the non-liquid crystal monomer (b) is ≤30 wt.%.
