<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to be converted into a smooth image by making ratio possible linearly variable in each divided area. <P>SOLUTION: Output pixel arrangement interval calculation part 11B calculates an interval of the adjoining output pixels from pixel positions as arrangement interval information M of the output pixels of which the interval is gradually adjusted as large, or small or constant. An output pixel arrangement position information setting part 11C sets an interval of pixel positions of the output pixels to pixel positions of input pixels as arrangement position information Z of the output pixels based on the arrangement interval information M of the output pixels and a reference input pixel position update control part 11D controls update of a reference input pixel position. By sequentially processing such processing by every divided image region, the ratio is linearly varied in each divided image region and the inputted image is converted into the smooth image even as adjusting aspect ratio of the inputted image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
