The boat, powered e.g. by an outboard motor fixed to a stern board, has inflatable tubular side walls (1) meeting to form a bow (2) and held apart by a rigid deck (3) which has at least one seat (4) for a helmsman mounted on it behind a control console (5). The console has a housing (12) with a projecting column (13) that fits into a socket (10) on the front of the seat and is held in place by a pin (14) inserted through holes (15, 16) in the socket and column.
