PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, having good on-ice performance without impairing wear resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of producing a rubber composition which contains a diene rubber (A) and a hydrolysis condensate (B) of a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing organic polymer having an alkylene oxide monomer unit in a main chain and having a hydrolyzable silyl group (b1) and in which the content of the hydrolysis condensate (B) is 1 to 50 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the diene rubber (A). In the method of producing a rubber composition, the hydrolysis condensate (B) is obtained by using the hydrolyzable silyl group-containing organic polymer (b1) and an amine-based catalyst (b2), and the hydrolysis condensate (B) is contained as a master batch obtained by mixing the hydrolyzable silyl group-containing organic polymer (b1) and the amine-based catalyst (b2) in advance.SELECTED DRAWING: None
