OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTION SWITCHING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To align the directions of secondary optical fiber connector plugs in a fixed direction by using secondary optical fiber cords and an alignment board.

SOLUTION: The optical fiber connection switching device is provided with: a connection board 6 which optically connects a primary optical connector plug 2 fitted to the tip of a primary optical fiber cord 1 and a secondary optical connector plug 4 fitted to the end of a secondary optical fiber cord 12 via an optical adaptor 5; the optical fiber cord alignment board 7 which faces the connection board 6 and aligns and holds the secondary optical connector plug; and an excessive length housing part 8 which houses the excessive length of the secondary optical cord. In the optical fiber connection switching device, the outer shape of the secondary optical fiber cord 12 is of an isosceles triangle, the secondary optical connector plug 4 is fitted at the tip of the secondary optical fiber cord 12 with a fitting direction aligned, an alignment hole 14 which slidably holds the secondary optical fiber cord of the the alignment board 13 has the shape of an isosceles triangle similar to the secondary optical fiber cord 12.
