METHOD FOR CALCULATING OPTIMUM TRIM ON BASIS OF DRAFT, TRIM AND DISCHARGE AMOUNT OF SHIP

PURPOSE: A method for optimally controlling the trip of a ship is provided to minimize fuel consumption by calculating an optimum trim value of the operating ship and keeping the operating condition of the ship with the optimum trim value. CONSTITUTION: A method for optimally controlling the trip of a ship comprises the steps of: detecting a signal about inclination and the surface height of seawater from a plurality of sensors installed at the stem, stern and middle part of the ship(S20); transmitting the signal to a central computer, and calculating the draft, trim and discharge amount of the ship(S40,S50); calculating an optimum trim value on the basis of a model ship with respect to the calculated draft, trim and discharge amount(S60); and transmitting the optimum trim value to a ballast control unit for controlling a plurality of ballasts(S70).
