PURPOSE: A sundial for education materials and instruments and an assembling method thereof are provided to improve the learning efficiency by manufacturing the development figure of the sundial and directly assembling the semispherical paper sundial. CONSTITUTION: A sundial for an education instrument is composed of a hemispheric time bowl(10) hemi-spherically formed and composed of vertical time lines for indicating time and 13 horizontal season lines for displaying the 24 solar terms from the summer solstice to the winter solstice, an indicator(12) fastened to the zero point in the center of the hemispheric time bowl to form the shadow on the season line or the time line, and a supporting bar(18) fixing the hemispheric time bowl. An additional plate(14) is mounted to the back of the indicator, and two auxiliary supporting plates(16,17) are attached perpendicularly in the center of the back of the indicator to support the indicator.
