<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excretion treatment apparatus capable of being provided compactly and inexpensively and capable of sufficiently reducing BOD, COD and a nitrogen component in a short time, and an excretion treatment method using it. <P>SOLUTION: This excretion treatment apparatus includes a first siliceous porous plate 8 having semiconductive characteristics and storing excretion from which a solid component is removed and which contains decomposing microorganisms and a siliceous porous powder having semiconductive characteristics, a first jet means 7 for ejecting excretion toward the first siliceous porous plate 8, a first tank 2 equipped with a first air nozzle 9 for supplying air to the stored excretion, a second tank 3 to which first treated water is supplied by a first circulating means 10, a second circulating means 16 for supplying the first treated water stored in the second tank 3 to a second jet means 13, an air supply means 17 for supplying air to the first treated water supplied to the second jet means 13 and a sterilant supply means 18 for supplying a sterilant to the second tank 3.
