PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for spraying ink in an ink jet printer are provided to spray ink in a sine wave shape such that an ink dot rate is varied in each path. CONSTITUTION: An ink jet printer sprays ink from a printer head into a multiple path so as to perform printing work. A method for spraying ink includes the steps of receiving printing data and spraying ink into each path according to printing data(10). Ink is sprayed in a sine wave shape such that an ink dot rate is varied in each path(20). The sine wave shape includes a vertical sine wave shape and a horizontal sine wave shape. An ink spraying apparatus includes an ink spraying control section for generating a control signal so as to spray ink in the sine wave shape.
