<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display by which alignability of a liquid crystal in a reflection region and a transmission region can be enhanced and display quality can be heightened and alignability of the liquid crystal can be enhanced without giving an influence to photo-spacers also when the photo-spacers are adopted. <P>SOLUTION: After the photo-spacers 22 are formed on a first substrate 10A wherein the reflection region and the transmission region are arranged in parallel with each other in a pixel, an alignment layer 11 is applied on the first substrate, alignment treatment of the alignment layer 11 is performed by irradiating the alignment layer 11 with UV in a wavelength region absorbed by the alignment layer 11. A second substrate 10B is stuck to the first substrate 10A at a prescribed interval between substrates, a liquid crystal is injected between the first and the second substrates 10A and 10B and a liquid crystal layer wherein liquid crystal molecules are aligned by alignment controlling force is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
