PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restore a file carelessly deleted from a hard disk. SOLUTION: An original file and a file for restoration which is different only in a extension from the original file are stored on a HDD unit 3. A microcomputer 1 is constituted to perform processing of renaming the file extension of the file for restoration and restoring the file for restoration as the original file, when it is determined that the restoration of the original file is impossible. Thus, even when the original file is carelessly deleted or not restorable due to its breakage, the original file can be automatically restored from the file for restoration.
