PURPOSE: A method for recycling a cylinder is provided to cut down the maintenance cost of the extrusion molding machine by recycling the aged cylinder of the extrusion molding machine and extending the replacement period of the cylinder, and to increase the productivity by reducing cost of the extruded products. CONSTITUTION: A bottom board welding part is formed in the fragile portion of an aged cylinder body(1) of an extrusion molding machine to prevent the aged cylinder from being chapped in the fragile reinforcing step. An overlay welding part(6) is formed in the other wear portion of the aged cylinder to restore the thickness of the aged cylinder in the wear portion overlaying step. The surface of the overlay welding part is processed according to the standard of the original cylinder in the overlay welding part surface processing step. The surface of the overlay welding part is cut evenly, and the cut portion is polished smoothly.
