<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying images correctly with brightness in accordance with a video signal. <P>SOLUTION: This display device comprises gate lines, drain lines which are arranged crossing the gate lines, p-channel transistors which have their gates connected to the gate lines and one of their sources and drains connected to the drain lines and are applied with a 1st bias voltage in a period of operation for holding a pixel potential (Pix), and pixel parts 2 including pixel electrodes which are connected to the other sides between the sources and drains of the p-channel transistors 2a. A p-channel transistor 2a of each pixel part 2 is applied with a 2nd bias voltage which is larger in absolute value than the 1st bias voltage when the liquid crystal display device is powered on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
