<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it was not possible to respond to new model design or design changes flexibly in the conventional direct backlight. <P>SOLUTION: In the direct backlight which has a light source 3 for irradiating the light to the irradiated object and a reflection face frame 5 having a face located at the back of the light source 3, the reflection face frame 5 is constructed by coupling a plurality of divided units 7. Since the reflection face frame is constructed by coupling a plurality of divided units 7, the size of the reflection face frame can be changed by changing the number of divided units to be coupled.
