PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience in an article management system for managing articles in a given space, by realizing a new aspect of article management of managing combinations of a plurality of articles handleable in combination.

SOLUTION: The article management system comprises combination management means 104 for, when sensing means 120 detect that an article handling entity handles a handleable article, referring to a combination management database 106 registering combinations of a plurality of articles to extract a combination including the handled article, referring to an article database 160 to acquire information about combined articles included in the extracted combination, and outputting the information about the combined articles.
