<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve heating irregularities due to high-frequency dielectric heating. <P>SOLUTION: In an ablation catheter of this invention, since an inner electrode 5 for high-frequency energizing composed of the vapor-deposited film of an electrically conductive material covers the entire outer peripheral inner surface of a balloon 2 and the entire tightly adhered part of a target lesion is turned to the state of uniformly facing the inner electrode 5 with only the film of the balloon 2 therebetween, heat by the high-frequency dielectric heating is surely and uniformly supplied over the entire balloon-tightly adhered part of the target lesion. Also, the inner electrode 5 is planarly laminated and formed on the inner surface of the balloon 2, and even when the inner electrode 5 is considerably large, only the thickness of the film of the balloon 2 is increased for the laminated installation of the inner electrode 5 and it does not obstruct anything.
