<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data structure for efficiently using the incorporated memory in an electronic dictionary in which a plurality of dictionary DBs are incorporated. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU reads one record from a Japanese keyword table 170, and acquires the record number of a translation information storage destination. Then, the CPU erases the record number of the translation information storage destination, and reads translation corresponding to the acquired record number of the translation information storage destination from a translation information table 172a. The CPU acquires the record number of a record corresponding to the read translation from a English/Japanese dictionary DB324, and stores the record number in the translation information storage destination record number. The CPU deletes the translation information table 172a and a Japanese/English dictionary retrieval program 1174, and additionally stores a English/Japanese dictionary DB324, a new Japanese/English dictionary retrieval program 328 and an English/Japanese dictionary retrieval program 329. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
