<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element for obtaining good visual characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display element 100 has two glass substrates 21 and 22 forming transparent electrodes at mutually opposite face sides, and a liquid crystal layer 24 sealed between the two glass substrates 21 and 22. An incident direction of light vertically entering from a rear face side on a plurality of pixels formed on the liquid crystal layer 24 is made reference, and a reflective means 27 for wholly reflecting each substantial half of the light entering the plurality of the pixels from a direction reversing the light and the direction of the light entering the plurality of the pixels to the incident direction from a direction slipped by a prescribed angle from the incident direction being the reference is provided inside of the reverse side glass substrate 22 on the rear face side out of the two glass substrates 21 and 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
